The Holland Division was established in 2004 as a separate division of the Soccer Club of Ridgefield to enable boys and girls with physical and mental disabilities to enjoy the game of soccer along with the millions of other children who participate in this sport worldwide.
Who is eligible to play?
Any child/young adult with a physical or intellectual disability, ages 5-18
How does it work?
· Once a week on Saturday at a field in Ridgefield (time and location TBD)
· 1 hour long, small sided games
· 6-8 sessions during the Fall season, beginning approximately the second weekend in September
· Teams will be grouped by ability not by age
· “Buddies” will be paired up with each child and stay with them on the field
· Parents are required to stay at field during entire session
· Wear sneakers or cleats, a soccer ball and T-shirts will be provided
· Focus on fun
