SCOR COVID Guidance for Games

COVID Guidance for Games

All players and spectators must self-screen prior to arrival at games.  If a player or spectator is experiencing any possible COVID symptoms, DO NOT GO TO THE GAME.

All players and spectators must adhere to all CT Travel Restriction guidelines.

If a player does test positive for COVID, you must notify Emily Mills at [email protected] or 203-482-0564 as soon as possible.  She will work with the Ridgefield Health Director, Ed Briggs, to conduct contact tracing protocols without ever using the player or family's name.

All players must wear a mask entering and exiting the field, while on the sidelines, and during halftime(when not actively drinking their water).

All spectators are required to properly wear a mask at all times.

The CT ReOpening Plan dictates that outdoor gatherings are limited to no more 100 people.  To that end, SCOR may not have more than 100 people on a field at a time.  This is the restriction that prevents SCOR from allowing spectators for practices.  This same limit will also dictate how many(if any) spectators are permitted for games.  The SCOR schedulers are trying to spread out the teams across fields and times as much as possible to allow for at least one spectator per player.  Please know that the number of allowable spectators will vary by program and may vary week to week for specific programs(ie. Rec Plus and Travel) dependent upon the size of the visiting team and field assigned.  In addition, when a team is traveling to another town, the home team dictates the allowable number of spectators.

Additionally, for games, spectators are required to wear a mask at all times and remain socially distanced from non-family/household members.

Players and spectators must arrive on time(not earlier) and leave the field promptly after the game.  Please remain socially distanced from other families/households upon arrival and departure.

No shared snacks or waters.

Players must bring their own hand sanitizer to use following the use of the bathroom, sneezing, coughing and during water breaks and at the end of the game.

If a ball rolls out of the field during play, a player must retrieve the ball.  No spectator may pick up the game ball.

Players will not hug, high five, shake hands or fist bump at the end of the game.  Instead they may walk in their lines with masks on and say "Good Game".
