Hurricane Earl Update: It is possible that due to coming weather conditions, we may need to delay the start of the SCOR Labor Day Tournament. We are monitoring the latest weather forecasts closely and based on this we’ll be making a decision on the start. The worst case that we anticipate is to move the start to Sunday, making this a Sunday-Monday tournament. Check back here for more information.

SCOR WARM-UP TOURNAMENT 2010
Dear Players, Coaches, Families, and Friends,
Welcome to the Soccer Club of Ridgefield’s twenty-seventh annual Warm-Up Tournament! We are very pleased to be your hosts this weekend, and that you will enjoy the tournament by having a great time watching or playing soccer.
The parent’s of the SCOR’s U-11 teams run the Warm-Up Tournament. While all parents help, the committee chair-people go the extra mile and have spent huge amounts of time. A special thank you to Shari Jacobson, Alicia Barlow, Duffy Tobin, Gary Gustafson, Joe Buthorn, Karen Wilson, Karl Molwitz, Marcie Coffin, Mark Vanni, Michael Luft, Paul Murdock, Peter Coffin, Robert Jasminski, Seth Critichell, and Sue David for stepping up to the challenge. We would also like to thank the Ridgefield Parks and Recreation Department, specifically Paul Roche and Bob Schneider for providing us with some of the finest fields in the northeast!
We are grateful for the tremendous support we receive from our major sponsors Anconas, Nestle Waters and Gatorade/ Pepsi. We would also like to acknowledge the many businesses local to the Ridgefield area that have generously contributed year after year. The tournament committee hopes that you will patronize them during the weekend if you are visiting and, throughout the year if you are a resident of Ridgefield.
The Soccer Club of Ridgefield takes great pride in its Soccer Code of Conduct, developed for all players, coaches and spectators. We have adopted a “zero tolerance” policy for inappropriate conduct towards officials. The code of conduct will be strictly enforced during the weekend and the tournament committee will not tolerate any “persistent dissent” toward officials or “unsporting behavior” by players, coaches or spectators. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation throughout the weekend as you and the officials “warm-up” for the 2010 season.
Best of luck to all players and teams. Have a great weekend of soccer!
Steve Sasse, SCOR Tournament Director
